value-based pricing model
I understand that every client is different, which is why I offer an individualized approach. My clients have diversified needs. Some do basic bookkeeping and enjoy compiling records at home while others prefer to roll over all of the paperwork for me to sift through. Some want a tax return prepared at a low cost while many need more than just a number-cruncher. They are looking for a trusted business and tax advisor. I match my services with your needs, and am committed to developing a fee that suits your preferences by offering value-added choices and up-front pricing.
When it comes to tax preparation, proposals are built around set pricing for each form included in the return. The base-pricing assumes that you are utilizing the process set forth in the FAQ section of the website. This includes filling out questionnaires, uploading completed documents, e-signing agreements and returns, choosing electronic copies of deliverables, and online payment.
The value-added fees apply in addition to the standard fees only if certain services are required for the accurate completion of a tax return. These services include accounting, bookkeeping, data processing (think shoeboxes and piles of receipts), and verification (conflicting or missing information). Value-added fees are billed at $75/hour in addition to the standard form fees. You have control over what you services suit your needs.
The value-based model allows for you to have control over how to you want to do business. If you don’t want to organize or streamline the tax preparation experience, that’s your choice! If you want to add income tax planning, consultation, advisory services, or paper return copies I’ll build that into the proposal!

how much is this going to cost me?
Well, that depends. (I know! I know! You don’t like that answer. I get it!) Each client brings a different set of expectations and desires to the table. By going through the proposal process above, I’ll be able to provide you with a quote to fit your situation!
You’re probably thinking, what if I can’t afford it? I have no idea what to expect. I’m a DIY-type person and I’ve never worked with a professional. (See reasons why you might want to listed above. Plus. I’m pretty fun.) If you’re looking for the cheapest car on the lot, I might not be the right fit. There are software programs available to walk you through filing returns. They work, if you put in the work. But if you’re reading this, you’re probably looking for a little more than that. If you want a good (maybe) plumber analogy, check out the FAQ’s.
However, I know it’s awkward to have NO IDEA what to expect so I’ve listed some average’s below. I’ve done extensive research to offer competitive pricing with options to tailor our working relationship.
PRICING EXAMPLES
As noted above, pricing is dependent upon your individual situation and preferences. Every tax preparation package includes a phone or video conference to discuss your situation or changes in the year, tax return preparation where I apply forward thinking and suggestions to minimize tax liability in the current (and future) years, and a follow up phone or video conference to discuss your return. Every personal return is backed with Audit Assistance and Identity Theft Protection.
Below are basic examples of preparation fees for clients who utilized organizational questionnaires, secure file uploads, online signatures, payment, and electronic delivery of returns.
